In his letter to the Galatians, St. Paul reminds us that we are called to freedom. But this freedom of which we speak is different from the freedom that our society so often celebrates.

En su carta a las Gálatas, San Pablo nos recuerde que estamos llamados a libertad. Pero esta libertad de la que San Pablo habla es diferente de la libertad que nuestra sociedad celebra.

“I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me.”  Each one of us should be able to make this same simple, but beautiful declaration of St. Paul.

“…Vivo en la fe que tengo en el Hijo de Dios, que me amó y se entregó por mí.” Cada uno de nosotros debe ser capaz de hacer esta misma declaración hermosa de San Pablo.

odos ustedes son uno en Cristo Jesús. Y si ustedes son de Cristo, son también descendientes de Abraham…” Esta declaración de San Pablo nos recuerde de una unidad interior y exterior que debemos honrar y respetar.

And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendent, heirs according to the promise.” This declaration of St. Paul reminds us of an internal and external unity that we should honor and cherish.

As we begin ordinary time in our church, how might the ordinary become extraordinary?
