El corazón de esta Fiesta de la Epifanía del Señor es una verdad que es hermosa pero más allá de nuestra comprensión completa.

The essential truth proclaimed in today’s feast is that God wills the salvation of all people and it is Jesus Christ who is the Savior of the world.

“Hermanos míos, ahora somos hijos de Dios, pero aún no se ha manifestado cómo seremos al fin. Y ya sabemos que, cuando él se manifieste, vamos a ser semejantes a él, porque lo veremos tal cual es.” ¡Esta es una declaración de fe increíble!

“Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed. We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” What an amazing proclamation of faith!

These words of Jesus, quoted by the author of the letter of the Hebrews, remind us of the total dedication of Jesus to the will of God.

“Aquí estoy, Dios mío; vengo para hacer tu voluntad.” Estas palabras de Jesús, de la carta de los hebreos, nos recuerden de dedicación total de Jesús a la voluntad de Dios.

This admonition of St. Paul presents a real challenge to us on this Third Sunday of Advent.

“Alégrense siempre en el Señor; se lo repito: ¡Alégrense!” Esta exhortación de San Pablo nos ofrece un gran desafío este tercer domingo de Adviento.

Celebramos dos fiestas esta semana que en realidad son uno y son importantes a nuestra parroquia – las Fiestas de San Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin y Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.
